Current Estimated Shipping Date: June 2024

Project Design and Shipping Update #1 Hi All, Thanks for supporting the SkopeX motorizer project and making this product a reality. Here’s a quick update over some key progress items and timeline updates. It’s been a busy time with a whole heap of changes that needed to be made to ensure part quality before locking in mold tooling. Good news is that mold tool machining is underway. Unfortunately, our mold tooling supplier has let us know that we won't get molded parts until early March, after Chinese New Year holidays. This has many downstream impacts with respect to other components, so we're working with our contract supplier on an updated timeline. This means that our current estimate for the earliest ship date is between late May and June 2024. We're hoping this is the first and last time we adjust our delivery date and will ship units as soon as they become available. Obviously this is not ideal and if you'd like a refund please let us know and we'll go ahead and process your request. We’re committed to making the SkopeX to the best standard possible. As we go through the various manufacturing stages and progress toward the final product we’ll do our best to keep you updated on progress. Here are some of the key updates over the past month: - Various modifications to the C40 lock collar design to improve overall material thickness properties and strength of component. - Final modifications to all molded parts in preparation of mold tooling. - Kicked off mold tool machining and waiting for molded parts. - Improved speed controller PCBA design with higher rating FETS and better thermal management. - Modified driver spring retention force to make sure driver can be swapped out easily. - Reduced overall ZP6 lock collar height. Improved Kinu lock collar assembly method (previously used 6 screws - now uses a simple twist lock component.) We’ve also had the pleasure of working with Tom’s grinder lab in QLD who has years of experience reviewing grinders. Feel free to check out his review on coffeesnobs.com.au! “It may be that I inherited some of my father’s engineering genes because I really derive enormous satisfaction (is ‘pleasure’ too strong a word?) from a piece of kit like the Skope X that is so well designed and built, and that operates so smoothly and seamlessly. And for me, that’s worth something because it adds value to my daily coffee experience.” - Tom Poland (SkopeX with C60) If you have any questions, please feel free to send them through and we’ll do our best to get back to you as soon as possible. Regards, Madkat Coffee

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
